“Green Nature Plants” is a Non Governmental Community based Environment and Community Conservation Organization serving to the Nation since year 2001.

At the initial stage the Inventor, Chair Capt. Percy Weerasingha convened his close relatives, friends and explained the importance of planting Trees on either sides of “Mahawella Road” considering sake of the People as well as Environment. This 2.5 Km distance between Gonapinuwala junction and “Sri Jayathilakaramaya Buddhist  Temple” at Ginimellagaha (West) consist with several areas only with Paddy fields and had no any shelter from the Sun for the pedestrians those who used to go to City. Planting Trees on either sides of said road was very strange for other communities on those days, hence Organization had to strive so much to proceed up to present victory level  and now all bearing Fruit.

Considering the fruitful activities/services keep on continuing, the Government of Sri Lanka registered the said Organization as a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) numbering DSG/SVC/NGO/NDR/01/01 under the Act, No 31 of 1980 as amended by act, No 8 of 1988 on the Voluntary Social Services Registration since year 2022.
